Your journey begins when you first apply! A questionnaire and consultation shapes your journey, allowing your mentor to create a strategic outline based on your unique needs. This is about tailoring the experience to meet you where you’re at.

NBR Shadow Day Prep
Kick off your shadowing experience with a consultation from your chosen mentor. During this call you'll go over your application, hone in on your goals, and outline your in person shadowing day.
Your mentor will give you their available dates and send you their top travel recommendations.
Two weeks prior to your shadowing, your mentor will reach out to ask for photos of your current NBR work to get a gauge on key areas of focus. If you're looking for additional business mentorship, they may have you submit additional information about your salon, revenue, and team members.
In-Person Shadow Day
Start your day by discussing your goals one-on-one with your mentor. Then dive into the hands-on experience when the client arrives.
No more passive learning—this is a hands on experience! Actively engage in discussions, explore techniques, and participate alongside your mentor’s team.
You’ll be an active participant throughout the entire process, whether shadowing your mentor, absorbing their expertise through observation, or jumping into hands-on work.
Shadow Day Bonus Benefits
As a part of your shadowing, you will dive into the intricacies of photographing your work, perfect how to pose your clients, master lighting, discuss modern marketing strategy, and address your burning questions.
