Sectioning: Bottom Row

Sectioning: Bottom Row

A Bottom Row and the Main Row will ALWAYS go together. The purpose of a bottom row is to add length, thickness and be a blending piece for the window.

The back of the Bottom Row should sit on the LOWER slope of the occipital bone. Any lower will be in the Nape, which is a No Zone. It will be in a Teardrop shape that follows the head’s natural curvature.

The side Sectioning of the row should sit 2” from the TOP of the ear. The Start and End Beads will be at minimum 1” in FRONT of the ear.

Make sure you do not square off  your sectioning in the Bottom Row, or it will be in the Temple No Zone.

When Sectioning:

  • Use water mist and clips to keep your work clean and free of crosshairs

  • Follow the natural curvature of the head

  • Connect TEARDROP shape when Sectioning and avoid the Temple NO Zone.

  • Make sure your client is looking up and facing forward when you section. Not down at their phone.
